Hate getting into a freezing car in the morning? Car heaters can take what seems like an eternity to get warm. If your sick of sitting in a freezing car that’s blowing cold air, here are a few tips on how to heat your car up faster.
-Install an automatic car starter. This is probably the cheapest, and most efficient way to insure a toasty car in the morning. Automatic remote car starters can be purchased for as little as $99 including installation. This will allow you to start your car via remote from the comfort of your home. By the time you get out to your car it’s already warm.
-Purchase an AC adapter and a small portable room heater. An AC adapter will plug into your cigarette lighter and provide you with an outlet plug similar to the ones in your home. This will allow you to plug a small portable heater into your car and get immediate heat. Car heaters work off of the engines heat which can take a while to heat up. Portable heaters get warm right away and start heating the interior of your car quicker. Make sure the wattage of the heater does not exceed the wattage rating of your adapter.
-Have you cars’ heating system checked out by a mechanic. Routine maintenance can often increase your heaters output and performance.
